The secluded and select Amani Beach Hotel in Tanzania has joined the Protea Hotels portfolio.
Set amongst 80 acres of beautiful tropical gardens, each of the 10 luxury beach bungalows overlooks the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. They combine the opulence of Zanzibar sultans with African craftsmanship and charm. Around the thatched bungalows the grounds are alive with wildlife and on the unspoilt white sands of the secluded beach, turtles come to rest.
The luxury retreat is located just over 30km from Dar es Salaam in breath-taking scenery; cliffs and golden beaches as the springboard for snorkelling, swimming and fishing. Horse riding facilities are also located nearby.
Being in the tropics, the hotel is air-conditioned. For those seeking rest and relaxation, take a long walk on the beach, drink a cocktail in the bar and watch the clouds overhead, or relax with a massage in the privacy of your bungalow. For the more active there’s beach volleyball, a tennis court on site and petanque.
The open-sided beach bar provides the perfect outdoor seating area to enjoy a drink in the ocean breeze. At night the main restaurant provides the perfect setting for a romantic dinner under the stars.
Protea Hospitality Group Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue, Danny Bryer, said the Protea Hotel Amani Beach brought to 4 the number of new Protea Hotels outside of South Africa this year. “Protea Hotels is the largest hospitality group in Africa and we will continue to expand on the continent in 2012 because we provide unparalleled local management knowledge and skill, as well as a trusted brand that prides itself on service excellence,” Bryer said.
